Kia UK has announced a new national charity partnership with The Children’s Society, expanding the automaker’s commitment to supporting communities across England and Wales. The collaboration underscores Kia UK’s dedication to creating meaningful social impact, focusing on vulnerable children and young people through early mental health support, safe spaces, and initiatives that help build brighter futures.
As part of the partnership, Kia UK will donate £1 to The Children’s Society for every car sold. With just under 113,500 vehicles registered in 2025, the contribution is set to make a substantial annual impact. The funds will help deliver essential services to children and young people, providing support before challenges escalate into crises.
Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK, has also committed to running the 2026 London Marathon to raise further funds for the partnership. “It saddens us to see so many children across the UK struggling with mental health, poverty, and risk of exploitation,” Philpott said. “The Children’s Society supports a brighter future for all children, and we’re proud our contribution will help expand that vital work. Together, we can help build a society where children thrive, not just survive.”
The partnership will include a variety of fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns, with opportunities for Kia UK staff and customers to get involved. Volunteers may, for example, support one of the charity’s 103 nationwide shops, helping to extend the reach of its programs.
Mark Russell, CEO of The Children’s Society, praised the collaboration: “We are so proud to join forces with Kia UK to transform young people’s lives. This partnership will raise funds for safe spaces where children and young people can talk, be heard, and gain the skills and confidence to face life’s challenges.”
The impact of The Children’s Society is evident in the stories of young people who have benefitted from its support. One participant recalled how attending an early support hub allowed them to share their feelings openly and find relief, creating a sense of hope and stability in their daily life.
Kia UK’s partnership with The Children’s Society continues a long-standing tradition of charitable engagement. Following a successful four-year collaboration with the Surrey Wildlife Trust—focused on environmental education and conservation—the automaker is now broadening its reach to national initiatives that address social challenges. Past collaborations also include The Children’s Trust and various community-focused campaigns, highlighting Kia UK’s consistent commitment to positive change.
By aligning with The Children’s Society, Kia UK is not only supporting immediate interventions for young people in need but also reinforcing its wider mission of responsibility, sustainability, and care. This partnership is a testament to the company’s belief in a future where all children can flourish.
