A further world first in Hannover this year comes from Setra in the form of the new Club Lounge. This special exhibit includes the Lounge table, six of the new Ambassador-style seats and a harmoniously designed corner feature. The aluminium-look Premium Lounge table is fitted to a brushed stainless steel pedestal and has two rotatable cupholders with black inserts and removable drip trays. A champagne chiller, four cupholders and an integrated waste bin are all included in the exclusive Premium corner feature which can be closed by means of the aluminium-look roller shutter door.
The Ambassador Lounge seats from Setra’s latest seating generation is being presented to the public for the first time at this year’s IAA for Commercial Vehicles and offers an extra-wide seating area measuring 500 mm. The luxuriously upholstered and ergonomically shaped seat shell features new materials and head restraints in black leather, as well as VIP folding armrests, all of which ensure an irreproachable level of comfort. The Ambassador seats from Setra’s new 2+1 seating arrangement round off the in-house developed seating program, which sets itself apart from the rest thanks to incredible comfort, low weight and impressive functionality, as well as the greatest possible levels of safety and variability.
There are easy-to-reach stowage consoles between the seats of the exclusive Lounge corner which provide stowage space for cups and glasses as well as two 230 V sockets for plugging in personal entertainment or computing equipment.
Since July 2012, the legal requirements for bus seats and their anchorages in the vehicle have been tightened. The new Setra Lounge seating with integrated 2-point seat belts fulfils the stricter requirements as described in the amended ECE R80.03 legislation.
