Effective from 1 January 2025, customers purchasing vehicles from any of the Volkswagen Group brands—Audi, CUPRA, Škoda, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles—can enjoy exclusive advantages, including 2,000 free miles upon sign-up and annual anniversary bonuses of 1,000 free miles for the next three years*.
This strategic move builds upon the success of the collaboration first announced in July 2024, and is part of the Group’s ongoing efforts to ensure that the transition to electric mobility is as seamless, affordable, and rewarding as possible for all customers. Having secured its position as the leading seller of both battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) in the UK in 2024, Volkswagen Group UK continues to drive innovation not only through its high-performance vehicles but also through the comprehensive ecosystem that supports them.
A key feature of this partnership is OVO’s renowned ‘Charge Anytime’ add-on. Through this innovative service, customers benefit from discounted energy rates, charging their vehicles for just 7p/kWh** at any time, day or night. The service, powered by Kaluza’s smart software, enables customers to charge when carbon emissions are at their lowest and energy prices are more favourable. Since its launch in 2022, the ‘Charge Anytime’ add-on has helped users save over £10 million, making it a game-changer in reducing both costs and carbon footprints for electric vehicle owners.
By extending this offer to fleet drivers, Volkswagen Group UK is acknowledging the growing importance of fleet customers in the UK’s EV landscape. The move reflects the significant number of electric vehicles now being acquired by businesses, many of which are transitioning their fleets to cleaner, more sustainable alternatives. Additionally, customers making the switch from petrol or diesel vehicles can take advantage of the OVO Beyond programme— the UK’s first ‘Energy Savings Account’— allowing them to bank extra miles toward their future electric vehicle purchase. Under this initiative, diesel and petrol car drivers can accumulate up to 150 free EV miles each month for 24 months, further incentivising the transition to electric mobility.
