Brityrex International 2012, Event City, Manchester, 9 -11 October 2012
The latest developments in workshop equipment designed to increase business revenues and save operator time will be on display at the Brityrex International exhibition in Manchester this October.
Leading suppliers including Apaseal/Pang, DQN, Haweka UK, Hofmann Megaplan, Rema Tip Top Automotive and Supertracker will be demonstrating their newest technology developed to meet these customer priorities.
Paul Farrant, managing director of Brityrex organiser ECI International, commented: “For any business looking to invest in, or upgrade, their workshop equipment, a visit to Brityrex is a must. Today’s balancing, changing and alignment machinery is both sophisticated and easy-to-use, providing real opportunities to improve the throughput and profitability of the workshop.”
A feature of the Haweka UK stand (Stand 53) will be the company’s complete range of commercial vehicle alignment equipment, including the all-new Axis 4000. This fully computerised system can now include a complete data set of truck wheel alignment settings to enable real time comparison of actual readings against manufacturers’ specifications.
The company says no other wheel alignment machine allows the operator to measure a twin axle semi-trailer in 10 minutes. The Haweka range can do this thanks to its patented wheel clamps, which are attached to the wheel rim by means of powerful magnetic feet (with additional grab arms for aluminium rims) and the measurement can begin immediately. These unique clamps are used on all Haweka aligners.
Haweka’s John Pullin says: “In today’s tough economic climate the importance of correct vehicle alignment cannot be over-emphasised. Our equipment makes it possible for the CV operator to easily and quickly achieve savings available from reduced fuel consumption and tyre wear. A one degree misalignment on one axle could increase fuel consumption by around 5%.”
Longstanding Britytex exhibitor Hofmann Megaplan will once again be running a competition to win a free Lever-less tyre changer. Last time round, the free entry competition resulted in one lucky visitor – Mill Tyres of Boston – receiving a free lever-less machine that has since become the flagship of their tyre bay. The promotion will be displayed prominently in the main exhibition hall foyer and entrants simply have to visit the Hofmann Megaplan stand and complete a brief questionnaire to put them in contention for the prize.
Also on the Hofmann stand (Stand 67) will be a selection from the company’s extensive line-up, including the latest wheel balancing technology with laser positioning, nitrogen inflation and an example of the premium quality lifting range. Expert advice will be on hand throughout the show from the company’s knowledgeable and enthusiastic technical team.
Brityrex will be a major showpiece for Rema Tip Top Automotive’s extensive range of garage equipment and consumables. Visitors to the stand (Stand 51) will have the opportunity to see new additions to the range which include the Promaxx 8240-2 LL (leverless) tyre changer and Kendo 30 Lite.
These new machines change standard tyre and wheel assemblies and the most demanding run flat tyres without the assistance of tyre levers. In addition there will be demonstrations of the Promont 924 Truck tyre changer and a range of balancing machines for both car and truck, including the new Probalance NG wheel balance and diagnostic system and 7425 Professional car wheel balancer with 17″ TFT monitor.
This year’s show also offers the first chance for visitors to examine the NTDA TAFF award-winning Ramrod TIRE SAFE safety inflation enclosure. Other highlights will include the Werther range of lifting equipment – the result of a new and exclusive distribution agreement, Compac trolley jacks and Gaither’s Bead Bazooka™ for seating tubeless tyre beads. Demonstrations of all equipment will be run throughout the show.
