Surron reveals the latest addition to its electric performance motorcycle lineup: The Surron Ultra Bee Black Carbon edition, which is now available to order from official Surron UK dealers.
The Ultra Bee is a mid-sized powerhouse that packs state-of-the-art technology and proven performance features into a newly designed platform. Engineered with Surron’s experience gained from the widely popular Light Bee and full-size Storm Bee models, as well as racing accomplishments and developments from the UK and across the globe, the Ultra Bee sets the benchmark for electric off-road performance.
BLACK CARBON FRAME
Boasting subtle darker details than the standard Ultra Bee, the Black Carbon edition boasts an all-new carbon black frame colour and yellow-black wrap finish.
NEW ALL-TERRAIN WHEELSET
The Ultra Bee R in Black Carbon edition comes with a new high-performance wheelset for both road and off-road adventures—on the front, an exclusive 90/90-19, and on the rear, 120/80-18 all-terrain tyres—providing superior lateral support and traction. Designed to be suitable for daily city commuting and off-road riding, the new setup provides even more versatility than before.
The customisable 18×2.50 rear wheel rim is also compatible with the Storm Bee 100/90-18 tyre to fully unlock its off-road potential*.
ROAD LEGAL
The Ultra Bee Black Carbon Edition is available in two road-legal model variants: The Ultra Bee R model, homologated for road use with all-terrain tyres, and the Ultra Bee T model, also homologated for road use with EXC tyres. The Surron Ultra Bee is also available in an off-road-only variant: The Ultra Bee X model.
With the Ultra Bee classing as the equivalent of a 125cc motorcycle and rideable on a CBT license (age 17+), it is the perfect commuting companion. What’s more, the road-legal variants are now eligible for a £500 contribution from the government via the Plug In Grant (PiG) scheme. Thanks to being fully electric, the Ultra Bee is very cost-effective with its 87-mile maximum range and charging in under 4.5 hours, as well as the fact there is no road tax to pay and it has significantly reduced maintenance costs.
It’s not just road tax that the Surron e-bikes are exempt from. With all major UK cities becoming energy-compliant, the Ultra Bee avoids additional charges from factors like congestion charge areas, the now-expanded ultra-low emissions zones (ULEZ) and electric vehicle-only lanes.
