Juliet Carrington has been appointed the new Head of Press and Public Relations for SEAT UK, with effect from 30 July 2012. She succeeds Mike Orford, who leaves the company today (29 June) to join Porsche Cars GB Ltd.
Juliet has worked with Volkswagen Group UK since 2004, first as Media Relations Manager in ŠKODA, then in her current role as Press Fleet & VIP Relations Manager at Audi.
‘I’m really pleased that Juliet is joining the team at SEAT,’ said SEAT UK Managing Director Peter Wyhinny. ‘She brings with her a wealth of experience from her time at both Audi and ŠKODA, and is well connected with and well respected by the UK’s media.
‘I look forward to Juliet being a part of the SEAT UK Management team at such a busy time for the brand. I am sure she will bring all the dynamism and energy we expect of SEAT.
‘Mike, along with the rest of the PR team, has done a fantastic job for us, building great relationships with the media and delivering innovative ideas and events that have helped bring SEAT’s exciting range of cars to an even wider audience. He has been a great ambassador for the brand.
‘Now, as we strive for yet another record share of the UK market through fantastic new models such as the Mii, New Ibiza and forthcoming Toledo, I am confident that Juliet will pick up the baton and keep running with it!’
Juliet said: ‘I am thrilled to be joining the team at SEAT in the brand’s busiest year yet and the prospect of working with such a strong and well-respected team is a very exciting one. I can’t wait to get started!’
