European debuts, electrified innovation and motorsport legends take centre stage in film-inspired spectacular
Honda is set to roll out the red carpet for fans at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed with a headline-grabbing, film-set inspired stand and a dramatic showcase of its latest innovations across four- and two-wheeled mobility. From futuristic EV concepts to motorsport icons and immersive consumer experiences, the Japanese marque will deliver a compelling narrative of performance, progress and passion from 10 to 13 July.
This year’s pan-brand presence sees Honda bring together its car, motorcycle, power equipment and motorsport divisions in a dynamic tribute to its electrified future and racing legacy. Drawing on themes of cinematic storytelling, the brand’s stand invites visitors to become the stars of their own Honda adventure – all while discovering a line-up of vehicles that spans cutting-edge electric concepts, beloved Type R performance models, and celebrated racing machinery.
European Debuts and Electrified Milestones
Headlining Honda’s electrified vision are several high-profile premieres. Making its first European appearance is the striking Honda 0 SUV – a sleek prototype that offers a glimpse into the next generation of Honda electric vehicles, following its global debut at CES 2025 in Las Vegas.
Joining it on the Hillclimb and in static display are two major crowd-pleasers: the Civic Type R Ultimate Edition, and the dynamic debut of the all-new Prelude e:HEV – a hybrid coupe that combines heritage cues with forward-thinking performance. Also making waves will be the global debut of the Super EV Concept – a spirited A-segment EV draped in vivid purple, developed to combine urban usability with engaging electric performance. The vehicle has been undergoing testing on UK roads, and is now ready to take on Goodwood in dramatic style.
A Two-Wheeled Electrified Future
On the motorcycle front, Honda is showcasing two bold concept bikes fresh from EICMA: the EV Fun Concept – the brand’s first full-size electric motorcycle – and the Urban EV Concept, a nimble and practical interpretation of zero-emission mobility for city riders. Alongside them, the groundbreaking V3 Concept will make its UK debut. This next-generation motorcycle engine features an electric compressor – a world first – and forms part of Honda’s ‘Dream Tech’ roadshow.
Fans will also meet a slightly different kind of hero in the form of Miimo, Honda’s robotic lawnmower, ready to charm festival-goers with its futuristic domestic prowess.
Lights, Camera, Honda! A Stand Like No Other
The Honda stand promises an all-action experience straight out of a movie set. Festival-goers can become their own action heroes with a suite of interactive attractions – from filming their own trailer aboard a Civic Type R on an extended reality (XR) stage, to posing for an AI-generated movie poster, riding a Gold Wing through sun-soaked vistas, or even hanging from the wing of a HondaJet.
“As always, we wanted to go beyond showcasing our products and instead bring the Honda experience to life,” said Hans de Jaeger, Senior Vice President, Honda Motor Europe. “This year, we’ve drawn inspiration from the excitement of cinema to connect with our customers in a more immersive and emotional way.”
Motorsport Magic and Racing Legends
Honda’s rich racing pedigree will be out in full force throughout the festival. To honour 75 years of Formula 1 and mark 60 years since its first F1 victory, the brand will unleash the thunderous Williams FW11 – Honda’s first Constructors’ Championship-winning machine, famously driven by Nelson Piquet and Nigel Mansell. This year, Mansell himself will return to the cockpit to relive that moment of glory.
In two-wheel action, 2024 Dakar Rally winner Ricky Brabec will ascend the Hill aboard his victorious CRF450 RALLY, while John McGuinness MBE will pilot a commemorative CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP honouring his 100th start at the Isle of Man TT. A special Civic Type R procession will also take place, led by McGuinness and followed by every generation of the legendary hot hatch.
Koji Watanabe, President of Honda Racing Corporation, said: “The Festival of Speed is a true celebration of motorsport and innovation, and we are proud to honour both our history and our future in racing. From the FW11 to our Dakar and TT legends, this year is all about showcasing the spirit that defines Honda competition.”
A Festival of Firsts, Favourites and Forward-Thinking
Blending the thrill of the track with the magic of the movies, Honda’s Goodwood 2025 presence is as multifaceted as its product offering. Whether you’re drawn by the roar of a V6, the whisper of electric propulsion, or the joy of interactive play, Honda’s showcase is certain to capture the imagination – and reaffirm the brand’s commitment to a cleaner, more connected, and emotionally compelling future.
