London, United Kingdom – 8 August 2025 — In an era where hypercars are defined as much by algorithms and hybrid systems as by horsepower, a new British marque has emerged to rewrite the rulebook. Garagisti & Co., a name steeped in motorsport rebellion, has unveiled the GP1 — an unapologetically analogue, ultra-low volume hypercar designed from a completely blank canvas.

Limited to just 25 road-going examples, the GP1 blends motorsport-grade engineering with the romance of driving purity. It is a machine for connoisseurs who believe the golden age of the supercar never truly ended — and who intend to keep it that way.

A Heart that Beats to the Old School

At the core of the GP1 lies a bespoke 6.6-litre naturally aspirated V12, developed in partnership with Italtecnica Srl — an Italian engineering powerhouse with deep motorsport roots. Producing 800 hp at a spine-tingling 9,000 rpm and more than 700 Nm of torque, the engine delivers not only breathtaking performance but also a mechanical soundtrack evocative of endurance racing legends.

In keeping with the car’s analogue ethos, power is channelled to the rear wheels through a longitudinally mounted six-speed manual gearbox by Xtrac. Every shift is a deliberate, tactile connection between driver and machine — a far cry from the paddle-shifted perfectionism of modern hypercars.

Design: From the Golden Age to a New Era

Penned by Angel Guerra, formerly of Bugatti and Rimac, the GP1’s design draws inspiration from the icons of the ‘80s, ‘90s and early 2000s — yet it stands as an original statement. Its flowing wedge form subtly recalls the Lancia Stratos Zero, the Lamborghini Countach, and other Gandini-era masterpieces, while remaining firmly anchored in the present.

Beneath the sculptural bodywork lies uncompromising aerodynamic engineering by DEXET Technologies. The underside houses one of the largest rear diffusers ever fitted to a road car, delivering authentic ground-effect performance without resorting to gimmicks.

An Interior of Intent

Inside, the GP1 is a study in functional beauty. The twin-cockpit layout is stripped of distraction, with every control placed for instinctive operation. Air vents are hidden within the design, removing visual clutter, and there are no oversized screens or superfluous technology. The philosophy is simple: just you, the machine, and the open road.

Dual Personality: GT Comfort, Track Ferocity

While its 1,000 kg dry weight and motorsport-grade componentry promise blistering pace, the GP1 is not a single-purpose track tool. True to the spirit of the supercar greats, it is engineered for long-distance touring, with comfort, refined noise levels, and luggage capacity. Push harder, and its character transforms into something raw, visceral, and electrifying.

Crafted by a Coalition of Masters

Garagisti & Co.’s approach mirrors the spirit of the privateer Formula 1 teams from which it takes its name — small, specialist, and unbound by corporate conservatism. The GP1 has been developed in collaboration with:

  • Italtecnica Srl – Engine design, development and calibration.
  • DEXET Technologies – Carbon monocoque, chassis and aerodynamic development.
  • Angel Guerra – Exterior and interior design.
  • Brembo, Öhlins, Xtrac – Motorsport-grade componentry for the road.

This is a hypercar without legacy baggage, focus groups, or marketing algorithms — built instead on instinct, taste, and engineering purity.

Exclusivity and the Open Doors Programme

Each GP1 will be hand-built and tailored to its commissioner’s vision at Garagisti & Co.’s UK facility. Priced at £2.45 million plus taxes and shipping, the car is not simply a product but the result of an uncompromising creative process.

The first 12 customers will join the “Open Doors” programme — an unprecedented behind-the-scenes journey that includes private gatherings across the UK and Europe with the engineers, designers and founders shaping the GP1. For those lucky few, ownership begins long before the keys are handed over.

A Founder’s Vision

“Our vision for Garagisti was born from a simple question,” says co-founder Mario Escudero. “What if the golden age of analogue supercars never ended? What if icons like the Countach Evoluzione had sparked a lineage rather than a dead-end? What would those cars look like today if they’d evolved with modern materials but kept their analogue soul?

We brought together some of the best minds in the world to answer that question — with our hands, our hearts, and our passion. The GP1 is our answer.”

With engineering now in advanced stages, Garagisti & Co. stands ready to deliver a hypercar unlike any other on the road — one that captures the spirit of driving as art, and the car as a pure expression of mechanical beauty.

The GP1 is not just a car. It is a statement.
