(South Africa) 2 September 2011. Kia Motors South Africa places high value on the level of after sales service received by all customers after purchasing a vehicle. There are various customer interfaces which influences the overall experience, and the service advisor plays a crucial role as this is the first point of contact with the customer. In an effort to increase overall customer satisfaction, Kia Motors South Africa launched its first ever National Service Advisor Competition during the month of July and August.

The National Kia Service Advisor competition will become an annual local and international event where service advisors from KIA dealerships compete from across South Africa. The competition has 3 phases, and tested participants on various levels. The first level comprised of an online test, which had to be completed. The top scoring 5 participants in this test moved onto the second phase, where they were tested in a mystery shopping study.
Ella Elford from KIA Welkom was crowned the overall winner and received the honorary title of National Kia Service Advisor in South Africa. “Ella was the clear winner from the start, and was a true reflection of what Kia’s family care is all about”, comments KMSA’s National Aftersales Manager Antony Shiell. Ella now moves on to compete in the World Finals, which will be held in Seoul, Korea from 27-30 September 2011. Here, she will be given the opportunity to be crowned World KIA Service Advisor. “We wish Ella the best of luck, and we are confident that she will do us proud”, Shiell concludes.
