2023 was the hottest year on record – but after the announcement of Clayton Classics’ updated air conditioning product range, which allows customers to install systems for themselves, this year classic car owners can look forward to a cool summer.

After initially specialising in Jaguar E-Types, Coventry-based Clayton’s air conditioning product range has now expanded its offering across 7 more iconic brands, including Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin and Porsche, and are compatible across over 20 esteemed vehicle models.

With over 500 kits sold to vehicle owners globally, hundreds more customers now stand to benefit from Clayton’s in-house developed kits, which have been tested around the world, in all climates. The innovative products, many of which are created using original parts and tooling, enable faster temperature reduction comparable with modern systems, with authentic design, in-keeping with the style and age of the vehicle.

Dean Allsop, Director at Clayton Classics, commented: “In the absence of air conditioning, classic car owners often find that their vehicle is uncomfortable to drive in warmer temperatures – and with hotter summers now seeming to become a more regular occurrence, we thought it was only right to expand our air conditioning kit offerings.

“Many people with a classic car may not realise that upgraded air conditioning is an option – and even if your car isn’t listed in our updates range, we would love to hear from customers to see how we might be able to offer a bespoke kit for your vehicle.

“We hope our updated product range will allow more customers to enjoy their pride and joys all-year round, and keep Britain’s proud contingent of classic cars a common sight on Britain’s roads, whatever the weather.”
