Chery South Africa is raising the bar in the family SUV segment with the introduction of the Tiggo 7 Executive, a new derivative of the popular Tiggo 7 Prime. Designed with families in mind, the Executive blends a premium specification with the practical design and efficient 1.5-litre turbopetrol drivetrain that has made the Tiggo 7 a standout in its class.
Developed in response to customer feedback, the Tiggo 7 Executive brings a suite of upgrades that enhance safety, comfort, and convenience without compromising the proven qualities of the Prime. Safety is front and centre with seven airbags, including full-length side curtains and a front centre airbag, alongside a comprehensive driver-assistance package. Lane departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot detection, adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking are all included, while an electronic child safety lock adds further peace of mind for families.
The Executive also introduces a surround-view camera system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, providing an overhead view and underbody visual assistance to make parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces effortless. Comfort and convenience have been elevated through features such as a power-operated panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, synthetic leather upholstery, and a 50 W wireless smartphone charger. Both front seats are now electronically adjustable with heating and ventilation, ensuring a comfortable experience in any climate.
Inside, the Tiggo 7 Executive retains the infotainment features of the Prime, including dual 12.3-inch digital displays, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Bluetooth, and Intelligent Voice Command, complemented by a six-speaker audio system for a satisfying listening experience. Externally, high-gloss 18-inch alloy wheels and standard LED headlights give the Executive a more premium presence on the road.
Under the bonnet, power remains unchanged, with the 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine delivering 108 kW and 210 N.m of torque, paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels. Combined fuel consumption is rated at 6.9 L/100 km, maintaining the balance between performance and efficiency.
Priced at R457,900, the Tiggo 7 Executive includes a 5-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, a 10-year/1 million km engine warranty for the first owner, and a 5-year/60,000 km service plan. Chery’s Trans-national Warranty Programme under the Chery Family Care umbrella ensures that owners can access warranty support at authorised service centres globally, providing families with added peace of mind when travelling or relocating.
“The Tiggo 7 Executive reflects exactly where the market is heading,” said Verene Petersen, National Marketing Manager at Chery South Africa. “Customers are looking for more than just style and value. They want intelligent safety, modern convenience and features that make everyday driving easier. This model is our response to those expectations, and another expression of Chery’s commitment to delivering safety without compromise.”
With the Tiggo 7 Executive, Chery South Africa has created a family SUV that goes beyond expectations, offering a complete package of premium comfort, intelligent safety, and everyday usability for discerning buyers.
