Midrand – BMW South Africa regrets to announce that Mr. Rob Barnes, who was employed at BMW Motorrad for more than 20 years, suddenly passed away at his home on Friday, 12 November 2010. Mr. Barnes was the Manager: Motorrad Marketing at the time of his passing.
“It is with great sorrow that we’ve lost Rob, who is fondly remembered by his colleagues as a passionate and determined person with a true love for BMW motorcycles. Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time,” said Rob Holder, General Manager of Motorcycles at BMW SA.
His memorial service will be held on Wednesday 17 November 2010 as follows:

Venue: Pretoria Wesleyan Church, Corner Serene and Beatrice Maré Streets, Garsfontein, Pretoria.
Mr. Barnes is survived by his wife, two sons and daughter.
