“The Presidents’ Awards Programme is testament to our commitment to   maintaining a high standard across our dealerships,” says Bodo   Donauer, Managing Director of BMW South Africa.

Consisting of three awards – the BMW Presidents’ Awards, BMW Dealer   of the Year and MINI Dealer of the Year – the core criteria is based   on a number of categories including sales, aftersales and overall   performance, whilst compliance in terms of dealer facilities and   general brand behaviour is also taken into account.

Winners of the BMW Presidents’ Award 2012 include Jon Chantler from   Eastview; Marius du Preez from Leo Haese Centurion; Werner van Zyl   from Menlyn Auto and Peter Caley from SMG South Coast. Leo Haese   Centurion also scooped BMW Dealer of the Year Metro while SMG South   Coast took the award for the Rural area. For the MINI Dealer of the   Year, Menlyn Auto came out tops.

Another programme run by BMW is the M Sales Dealer of the Year, where   the criteria is based on sales performance only. Zambesi Auto   demonstrated exceptional performance by exceeding target.

“These accolades are indicative of our dealerships’ business   ethos, which is built on integrity and customer satisfaction, thereby   ensuring that our discerning BMW customers continue to receive a   refined premium service,” says Donauer.

“Furthermore, BMW South Africa has also won a number of brand and   customer satisfaction awards, once again demonstrating our premium   standing amongst consumers.”

BMW emerged as South Africa’s top selling luxury car brand in 2012   for the third consecutive year; it was ranked first in the automotive   sector and second overall across all company categories for customer   satisfaction in the Ask Afrika Orange Index® Awards 2012; and was also   named Coolest Car Brand in the recent Sunday Times Generation Next   Awards for the third consecutive year.
