In a strategic move that pushes the boundaries of luxury automotive innovation, Bentley Motors has announced an extension of its pioneering Beyond100 business strategy, now aptly renamed Beyond100+, extending its vision from 2030 to 2035. This ambitious initiative promises to redefine the brand’s trajectory, as Bentley aims to exclusively produce fully electric vehicles by 2035, enhancing its commitment to sustainability without compromising its luxury ethos.
At the heart of this extended strategy lies Bentley’s first fully electric vehicle (BEV), scheduled for a groundbreaking debut in 2026. This new model, envisioned as the world’s first true luxury urban SUV, is set to forge a fresh segment in the automotive landscape, underscoring Bentley’s role as an industry innovator. Designed, developed, and produced entirely at Bentley’s headquarters in Crewe, the luxury marque’s first BEV is part of a broader commitment to unveil a new PHEV or BEV model each year leading up to 2035. This product cadence reflects Bentley’s robust investment drive and dedication to technological advancement while addressing the increasing demand for sustainable luxury vehicles.
Bentley’s heritage in hybrid technology has already placed the brand at the forefront of the luxury hybrid sector, and Beyond100+ will further solidify this standing. To bridge the transition to an all-electric lineup, Bentley will extend the lifecycle of its PHEV models through 2035. The Continental GT coupe, Convertible, and Flying Spur models will now be exclusively powered by an Ultra Performance plug-in V8 hybrid engine, marking a new chapter in Bentley’s evolution following the retirement of its iconic W12 engine—a symbol of engineering excellence in Crewe for over two decades.

Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser, Chairman and CEO of Bentley Motors, commented on the strategic shift, saying, “Four years almost to the day that Bentley initially outlined its Beyond100 strategy, we adapt to today’s economic, market and legislative environment to initiate a major transformative phase for tomorrow. Beyond100+ becomes our guiding light as we extend our ambitions beyond 2030, while maintaining our aim of a decarbonised future, including offering only fully electric cars from 2035, and reinforcing our credentials as the British creator of extraordinary cars for over a century and beyond.”
A central element of Beyond100+ is the reinvention of Bentley’s manufacturing infrastructure in Crewe. This initiative secures Bentley’s operational future in the UK while creating a state-of-the-art, carbon-neutral production facility that aligns with Bentley’s electric future. The historic Crewe facility is currently undergoing extensive modernization, a self-funded investment that represents the largest infrastructure commitment in Bentley’s 105-year history. Among the latest developments are the construction of a cutting-edge Design Centre, a new Paint Shop, and a dedicated BEV assembly line. Bentley’s “Dream Factory” is poised to serve as a benchmark for flexible, digital, and high-value manufacturing, transforming an 85-year-old site into a symbol of sustainable luxury.
The ambitious Beyond100+ strategy illustrates Bentley’s commitment to staying at the forefront of luxury automotive innovation while adapting to evolving global challenges. By integrating sustainable practices with groundbreaking design and engineering, Bentley is setting a new standard in the industry, demonstrating that luxury and sustainability can coexist harmoniously.
With Beyond100+ in place, Bentley Motors is not just navigating the future; it is actively shaping it, ensuring that the legacy of British luxury continues to flourish in an electrified, sustainable world.
