Paris, FRANCE – Nissan is reshaping its Africa, Middle East, India, Europe & Oceania (AMIEO) operations with a series of strategic senior management changes aimed at accelerating the delivery of its Re:Nissan transformation plan. The reorganized structure, effective 1 January 2026, is designed to bring decision-making closer to customers, drive operational agility, and reinforce competitiveness across the region.
Under the new structure, Jordi Vila takes on the expanded role of Divisional Vice President (DVP) Nissan Europe & Africa, AMIEO Aftersales and Brand, now encompassing Marketing & Sales for Europe, Aftersales, and Brand functions. Meanwhile, Thierry Sabbagh adds India to his portfolio as Divisional Vice President and President, Middle East, KSA, CIS and India, extending his regional oversight.
At the regional level, Nissan is merging Product Planning and Marketing into a single product-focused organisation to streamline the journey from concept to launch. Clíodhna Lyons has been appointed Regional Vice President (RVP) Product, Services & Marketing Strategy, overseeing advanced planning, product competitiveness, and lifecycle management. Additionally, Guillaume Barbet, RVP Sales Planning and Operations, will expand his remit to cover all planning activities, pricing strategies, competitiveness, and operational efficiency.

“These changes reflect our commitment to transformation and customer-centricity,” said Massimiliano Messina, Nissan AMIEO Chairperson. “By integrating key functions and empowering regional leadership, we are building a more agile organisation capable of responding quickly to market dynamics and delivering competitive, compelling products.”
The restructuring also marks the departure of Leon Dorssers, Senior Vice President, Chief of Commercial Operations, Nissan AMIEO. Dorssers, who joined Nissan as a trainee in Amsterdam in 1992, held numerous leadership roles across Europe, America, and Japan before becoming SVP Marketing & Sales for AMIEO in 2021.
Following a successful series of product launches in 2025, Nissan is poised for another exciting year across the AMIEO region. Key highlights include the India introductions of the GRAVITE and TEKTON models, the arrival of the next-generation Nissan Navara in Oceania, and the European launch of the new electric Nissan Juke.
With these leadership changes and a strengthened focus on customer-centric innovation, Nissan is set to supercharge its regional growth and deliver on the promises of the Re:Nissan plan in 2026.
