Suzuki GB PLC has once again demonstrated the strength of its relationships with its UK dealer network, rising to fifth place in the National Franchised Dealer Association’s (NFDA) Summer 2025 Dealer Attitude Survey. Out of 33 brands measured, Suzuki achieved a score of 8.3 for the question, “How would you rate your manufacturer overall?”, marking a significant leap from 14th place and a score of 7.3 in the Winter 2024 survey. The latest score sits comfortably above the industry average of 6.6, highlighting the brand’s exceptional standing among UK franchised dealers.

The bi-annual NFDA survey, the largest of its kind in the UK, assesses dealer sentiment across a wide range of business areas, from profitability and investment to communication and operational support. In addition to the overall ranking, Suzuki performed strongly in multiple specific areas, with top 10 industry scores in product advertising, product value and pricing, responsiveness to communication, used car warranty and programme, the value of regional employees, and dealer autonomy in managing day-to-day operations.

Notably, the survey also highlighted the brand’s commitment to listening to its dealers. Suzuki Management scored 8.9 for considering dealer views and opinions, reflecting the company’s consistent focus on collaboration and responsiveness. Dealer training programmes were also highly rated, with quality and cost value scoring 8.7 and 8.5 respectively, while the brand’s apprenticeship scheme achieved a score of 8.7, placing it sixth overall in the industry.

David Kateley, Director Automobile at Suzuki GB PLC, commented:
“We are delighted with the latest survey results. This demonstrates once again the successful, transparent and profitable relationships we have with our dealerships, not least through listening to what they have to say and taking their experiences and business priorities into account.”

He continued, “By achieving strong and mutually rewarding business partnerships, we can also provide the right environment to deliver customer satisfaction, both in the showroom for new and used vehicles, and in aftersales operations. Getting these three basic elements right in an increasingly competitive industry is crucial to securing the future success of Suzuki and our dealer partners.”

The NFDA survey is a vital benchmark for franchise relationships, capturing dealer opinions on a wide spectrum of business matters, including overall relationship, profitability, costs, targets, and investment. Suzuki’s strong performance in Summer 2025 underlines its ongoing commitment to supporting its dealer network, ensuring that both dealers and customers benefit from a seamless and profitable partnership.
